Κάθε χρόνο το χτύπημα στη σκηνή Schottenhamel αποτελεί τη συμβολική έναρξη του Oktoberfest. Στις 12 ακριβώς, ο δήμαρχος του Μονάχου χτυπά και ανοίγει το πρώτο βαρέλι μπύρας με το σύνθημα "O'zapft is'". Η ημερομηνία έναρξης του Oktoberfest το 2022 είναι η 17η Σεπτεμβρίου.
Μια νέα ετικέτα, σε συνεργασία με την Harland Brewing Co., κυκλοφόρησε η Karl Strauss Brewing Co.
Με φόντο τις διαταραχές στον εφοδιασμό με φυσικό αέριο στη Γερμανία, οι κάτοικοι της χώρας ενδέχεται να χάσουν τη συνήθη ποσότητα μπύρας στα καταστήματα λόγω των υψηλότερων τιμών ενέργειας και σιτηρών, αναφέρει η FAN.
Αύξηση 1,5% παρουσίασαν, σε ετήσια βάση, οι συνολικές πωλήσεις μπύρας το 2023 στην Κύπρο, σύμφωνα με στοιχεία της Στατιστικής Υπηρεσίας, που ανακοινώθηκαν τη Δευτέρα.
